"Research is the art of seeing what everyone else has seen,
and doing what no-one else has done."

--author unknown

Each essay will meet the following general requirements:
1. 500-600 words (about 3 pages)
2. Typed, free of error
3. Incorporate at least one outside source
4. Include a work cited page in proper MLA format

ESSAY #1: YOUR FIELD OF STUDY IN GENERAL

This is an exploration of a field of study (your college major, etc.)
What are the occupations in this field? What about the field interests you?
Why? What are your plans in this study?

ESSAY #2: A COMPARISON BETWEEN AT LEAST TWO "COMPANIES" YOU COULD
WORK FOR AFTER YOU RECEIVE YOUR DEGREE

This is a development of the attitudes, funding, history, background/future,
etc. of your field of study for two "companies"--essentially two places
where you could go to work after you graduate/earn your degree.

The research that you do on this topic should all help toward the
"Big One," which is the focus for the semester.
All the research that you find now should continue to be
helpful throughout the rest of the semester.
