typing rules

Here is a very basic model of what your essay should look like in proper MLA
format (excluding the works cited, which is explained and modeled elsewhere on this site).

                                                                                                Last name/1
Student name

ENG 102

Shehi-Johnston

Date

                                         Title of this paper--centered

The paper begins.  The paragraphs should be indented on the

first line, and continue in double space throughout.  The introductory

paragraph should come first, with an attention getter, background

information for the reader, and vocabulary, if required.  All this leads

to the thesis, which should appear near the beginning of the essay,

near the end of the introduction.

Remember
Do not use a title page.
Always double space everything.
Proofread carefully!
